  • New Internationalist Magazine - This Co-operative news organization "exists to report on issues of world poverty and inequality; to focus attention on the unjust relationship between the powerful and the powerless in both rich and poor nations". The site includes the latest issue of the magazine and also connects to the "oneworld" search engine, provides a browsable index to the past 10 years of NI, and features a great section: "Teaching Global Issues" with links to other global sites for teachers.   • Rethinking Schools - Re-thinking Schools, a quarterly publication originating in Milwaukee, Ill. is "a nonprofit, independent publisher of educational materials. We advocate the reform of elementary and secondary education, with a strong emphasis on issues of equity and social justice." The creators are all volunteers, and each issue is available in print or on-line. Worth watching for discussion of progressive ways of teaching.
